Valeriia Tsurhanova, originally from Chortkiv, Ukraine, moved to Detroit a year and a half ago, seeking refuge from the ongoing war in Ukraine. Despite the challenges she faced, Valeriia’s determination and resilience have been nothing short of inspiring.

With a master’s degree in History and Archaeology from Ivan Franko National University of Lviv (ЛНУ імені Івана Франка), Valeriia brings a rich academic background to her new life in the United States. Her command of the English language, developed in just a short time, is remarkable, and her respect and kindness leave a lasting impression on anyone she meets.

Her passion for photography has flourished, and she continues to produce stunning work that captures the beauty and complexity of the world around her. Specializing in portrait and landscape photography, Valeriia has a unique ability to tell powerful stories through her lens.
